Meet Tamara Johnson
MS, CMHC, LPC-A
Tamara is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who strives to support clients through their mental health challenges. Tamara earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, and her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.
Prior to pursuing a counseling degree, Tamara worked as a registered behavioral technician for three years. She served a variety of clients with autism spectrum disorder. She worked with these clients in individual and group settings, assisting them refining their social-emotional, behavioral and adaptive skills. Tamara has experience working with students in a school-based setting who may be navigating difficult transitions, peer conflict, and academic challenges. She is attentive to each client’s needs and provides individualized therapeutic support.
Tamara has a warm and welcoming spirit, offering clients an inviting space to share their experiences. She enjoys using a variety of interactive, evidence based approaches with clients, empowering them to utilize coping skills to manage daily stressors.
